VOT125 Nettop PC by ViewSonic

A new Nettop PC known as the VOT125 by ViewSonic is now available.

This mini sized nettop is powered by one of four energy-saving Intel’s processors: Celeron SU743, Dual Core Celeron SU2300, Pentium SU4100 and Core 2 Duo SU7300.

Under the lid you can also find a 250GB HDD, 2GB of memory, 2X USB 2.0 ports, wired and wireless connections, DVI output, HDMI output and runs on Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

The starting price of Viewsonic VOT125 Nettop PC is $499.

Sony to Release a New Interchangeable Lens Camcorder

Sony announced about the  development of a new AVCHD camcorder that will feature an interchangeable lens system. This new line of camcorders will be compatible with the E Mount lens system that was developed for Sony’s new NEX line of DSLR cameras. The new camcorder will also be compatible with A Mount DSLR lenses with the purchase of a mount adapter.

Unfortunately we do not know much about the device. The only internal specs we can detail for sure is that the new Sony camcorder will be equipped with the same CMOS sensor as Sony’s new digital cameras: the NEX-5 and NEX-3.

Canon XF300 and XF305 Camcorder Review

Canon launched 2 new models of the digital video cameras which  are the first models of camcorders to use the new MPEG-2 Full HD (4:2:2) recording codec. Both XF300  and XF305 digital camcorders are quipped with a Canon L-series HD Video Lens combining a 29.3mm equivalent wide angle with fast maximum aperture (f/1.6) and 18x zoom, 3CMOS sensor system and a DIGIC DV III processing engine.

Both models feature a 4” LCD screen with a resolution of 1.23 million dots, a 1.55-million-dot EVF with 100% coverage and the video can be captured via three 1/3 type 2.07 Megapixel Full HD CMOS sensors at 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Audio can be captured either via twin XLR inputs or with the front-mounted stereo microphone.

26 Custom Picture options can be adjusted to achieve the perfect look and can be stored in-camera – via SD card.

The XF300 will be available in late June with an MSRP of $6799 and the XF350 is excepted to be available at  $7999.

Skype offers five-way video calls

Skype announced about its new VoIP feature: beta version of its promised group video calling feature.

Five users can connect to each other at once. It allows each user to add new users or share screens on the spot in the Windows test version of the soft. But there are some requirements for users:  modern computer and a fast Internet connection.

According to Skype, the feature is free during the beta but if you want the full version, you will have to purchase a “premium” service in the future.

A Mac version of the video chat should be available sometime later during this year. It is already in development stage.

Cowon J3 AMOLED portable media player

Cowon rolled out its 3.3-inch (480 x 272 pixel resolution) J3 premium AMOLED touchscreen portable media player featuring which is packed inside with Bluetooth, FM tuner, built-in speaker,  microSD/SDHC expansion slot, TV-out and supports a wide range of video, audio, image formats.

J3 is available either with 4/8 or 16-GB of internal storage inside.

Olympus Rolled out Silver E-P2 Digital Camera

This week Olympus rolled out its 12.3-megapixel PEN E-P2 Micro Four Thirds digital camera in silver.  The silver E-P2, which was previously available only in black, will ship bundled with a 14-42mm, f3.5-5.6 lens.

E-P2 gets continuous HD movie recording function with motion-tracking autofocusing and manual control over the aperture and shutter speed.

The Olympus PEN E-P2 features Built-in image stabilization mechanism with up to 4 EV corrective effect, HDMI output, reliable dust reduction system, Shadow Adjustment Technology, a choice of 4 aspect ratios and MF Assist function for manual focusing.

LG Viewty Smile GT400 at Vodafone UK

LG Viewty’s the latest  range of touchscreen phones is LG Viewty Smile GT400 which offers some great features.

This latest handset is packed with a 5.0 megapixel camera (with Flash and Face Detection) which offers photo slideshows and a photo editor for adjusting pictures before sharing them with friends. The device supports 3G which provides fast internet downloads and fast access to social websites such as Facebook, Flickr, Orkut and Twitter.

The new LG Viewty Smile GT400 is equipped with a 3-inch touchscreen TFT display (WQVGA) with resolution of 240×400 pixels, 100 MB of internal memory and plus a microSD card slot with capacity up to 16GB, Bluetooth 2.1, FM tuner, audio and video players, Document viewer.

HP intros a new 18.4-inch (1920 x 1080 Ultra BrightView LCD display) Pavilion dv8t featuring Intel Core i7-720QM Quad Core a 1.6GHz processor.

The laptop is packed with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M 1GB graphics card, a 500GB HDD,  4GB DDR3 RAM, Blu-ray and runs on Windows 7 64-bit OS.
