JVC GS-TD1 3D Camcorder

JVC is claiming a world first for its 3D camcorder – It is the first to offer 3D Full-HD 1080i recording at 30fps.

A pair of 3.3 Mp Cmos lenses are slightly offset from each other to creat the 3D illusion.

The JVC GS-TD1 has a 5X optical zoom and uses a Falconbird CPU to process the image. JVC also cites the camcorder’s 3D sound recording capability, 3D time-lapse feature and ability to take 3D stills.

Once you’ve snagged some memorable footage, you can preview it using the bundled Everio 3D Media Viewer. Images can be recorded to its internal 60GB memory, but you’ll need to invest in some capacious SDHC memory cards.

It supports Full HD movie recording and has a massive 240 GB built-in hard drive for storing the footage. The 3.5-inch touchscreen is bright and crisp.

The Sony machine also supports 5.1 channel audio recording and has a shoe to attach an external light source as well. Despite packing in so much, it is incredibly light.

Panasonic HDC-SDT750 Review

Panasonic HDC-SDT750Panasonic’s HDC-SDT750 camcorder allows anyone with deep enough pockets to have a go at 3D movie-making.

The SDT750’s highlight is the bolt-on 3D conversion lens. This uses a pair of lenses that sit side by side to pick up two slightly different points of view – one for each eye. When the lens is screwed in for the first time, the camera prompts you to follow a calibration wizard to make sure it’s properly configured. While it’s only necessary to calibrate the lens the first time you connect it, Panasonic recommends that you recalibrate it every time you re-attach the lens, which is rather annoying. Digital Camcorder – JVC GY-HM100U

At last year’s NAB, JVC officially entered the solid-state market. This year the company will showcase its compact, handheld GY HM100U camcorder, which joins the company’s full HD recording (selectable 1920×1080 or 1280x720p) camcorders with data rates up to 35Mb/s in native .

The HM100U camcorder records to dual SDHC memory cards, and sports three 1⁄4″ CCDs and an integrated 10x Fujinon lens with optical stabilization. JVC plans to demo several new monitor entries, including its Vérité “G” Series of professional LCD monitors. They feature 3G and Dual Llink HD/SD SDI inputs. Read the rest of this entry »
