CASIO Rolled out EX-FH100

Posted by Digital Electronics On June - 30 - 2010

The Casio Exilim EX-FH100 features high-speed 40fps still capture and high-speed movie capture. Add image stabilisation, a backlit 10.1MP sensor, Raw shooting (limited to ISO 100-200), full manual control, Best Shot and scene modes, and it looks a winner.

In use, the AF system, while successful, is irksomely noisy to the ears. The 40fps high-speed stills mode works a treat, yet the movie capture sacrifices quality and resolution for the sake of frame rate – the 1000fps option is a meagre 224×60 pixels. Still, the 30fps 720p HD movie capture and even the 120fps VGA (for super slow-mo) modes are decent (though you can’t zoom while recording). Read the rest of this entry »

The chassis used for the XS35 is 1-liter class and has a standard VESA mount interface. That interface means you can mount the PC to the rear of a TV or LCD display.

The machine is complete, runs the Intel Atom D510 processor at 1.6GHz, and uses the NM10 Express Chipset. Graphics are handled by the NVIDIA GT218, otherwise known as the ION 2 platform. Lenovo Lephone gets officially pictured

Posted by Digital Electronics On January - 14 - 2010

Lenovo’s Lephone announcement at CES 2010 last week fell somewhat into the shadow of another new Android smartphone from a big-name manufacturer, the Dell Mini 3, but that’s not to say the Lenovo handset has no distinguishing features.  Snap-on accessory keyboards aren’t new – the LG Versa on Verizon is a recent example – but we’re particularly feeling Lenovo’s curvy layout.

As for specifications, there’s a a 3.7-inch 480 x 800 touchscreen with a touch-control panel underneath, a WCDMA radio, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, along with two cameras: a 3MP shooter on the back and a VGA one up-front for video calls.
